Author Guidelines

Scientific writing

Articles must comply with all the requirements for scientific writing summarised in  https://online-journals.org/index.php/i-jep/article/view/28253 .

Key points
  • Articles will only be accepted in English .
  • The number of pages is limited (see APC below)
  • Use the IEEE citation style ( IEEE Citation Reference ).
  • Articles may be rejected if they are not formatted in accordance with the  plantilla .
  • An article may have one corresponding author (primary contact) who
    • Manages all editorial communications
    • receive the invoice
    • You will receive the page proof and will be responsible for approving it.
  • Please use your institutional email address in the journal’s metadata and in the article itself, and check your spam folder regularly.
What should you send?

Submitted contributions are subject to a single-blind review.

  1. Please submit a file containing the authors’ names and affiliations. Please remember to include them directly below the article title and in the CV section at the end.
  2. Once your article has been accepted, please upload a final version in DOC, DOCX or RTF format, incorporating the suggested changes. 
Procedure
  1. Submission of articles
  2. Decision on acceptance for review (approximately 2 weeks)
  3. Submission deadline: June 30, 2026 
  4. If accepted, the invoice will be sent to the relevant author and the final version will need to be uploaded.
  5. Once payment AND the final version have been received, the article will be provisionally scheduled for publication in an issue of IJEP, IJIM, IJOE or other Q1 ELSEVIER journals, depending on the subject matter.
  6. Later: the page test is announced.
  7. The test page is being sent (confirmation of receipt)
  8. Your article will be published

All correspondence will be done with the corresponding author. She/he should use an institutional email address that works and check spam on a regular basis. The email address must be the same in the paper and in the article metadata in the journal.

Review-to-publish

Please note: iJEP applies a "review-to-publish" policy – the author must participate in the reviewing process. By submitting a paper the author agrees to be a reviewer.

Article processing charges (APC)
  • Journal Q2, Q3, Q4: $ 950 – 12-16 pages.
  • Journal ELSEVIER Q1: $1400 – 12-16 pages.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The authors of the above-named submission hereby declare that the submitted manuscript is solely developed and written by the named authors themselves and no ghostwriting services have been included during the text production and/or submission process. In addition, according to the EIRCON conference rules of procedure, the use of any artificial intelligence software (e.g., chatbots or other language processing tools) for text production is not accepted and will result in the rejection of the manuscript. The conference editorial board has the right to reject a manuscript for the above-described reasons at any time during the review, editorial, or publication process.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
  • In Step 3: Metadata: fill in ALL authors (use “Add Contributor” button). Choose one corresponding author (primary contact) and use your institutional email addresses.
  • The text is written in English and meets this journal's formatting requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
